Something a bit unusual again – a highly original piece of the 1970’s! 

Universal 445, based on ex Fiat tooling. The tractor is powered by a 45hp 3 cylinder, and in size is really equivalent to a Massey 135

The tractor starts without issue, hot or cold, the engine is sweet, and runs cleanly after few seconds of initial start. The hour clock shows 1751 hours, and it is working, of course I cannot verify. I am told the tractor has had one operational owner, before it went into hibernation for several years. I haven’t applied for a V5 as didn’t want to add to the ownership tally, however it has live reg and serial number.

The tractor has a lot spent on it, has a complete new clutch and and numerous bearings in the transmission driveline, rebuilt alternator, all oils changed, new sump gasket etc.

The tractor has a 9×3 transmission, so plenty of gears to choose from all select fine and the transmission is now quiet.

The power steering is lovely and light at all speeds 

Linkage and pto are all operational

Brakes, both foot and hand brake are all good

All lights work including indicators and even horn and wiper 

A rarely found, straight and original 445. other than the replacement offside rim and replacement headlights, the tractor is as far as I can see completely original. Tinwork and cab all very straight, original glass, looks to be the factor seat cushion even. sound tractor no rot, even wheel arches.
