1972 Ford 4000, supplied By Mann Eggerton, Ipswich registered, 2 owner machine that hasn’t left the county of Suffolk.

Tractor starts from hot or cold, there is a bit of unburnt diesel smoke from cold, but once run up pretty much clears, no real visible breathing. Tractor appears to have its, what I would imagine, original smooth block engine. Clock shows 6500 hours but has stopped. I was told this was recent and have no reason to disbelieve

All gears select nicely and the clutch is good.

Independent PTO with single lever engage/disengage (no clutching required)

Linkage works as it should

Brakes and handbrake working well

This tractor has the benefit of having had power steering fitted, which is a real game changer on these.

Very tidy tractor, has had some parts repainted in the past, which are by no means show standard, but they have actually mellowed and give it quite an original look. All panels are largely straight and there is no rot.
Doors have had a repair or two over the years, but fit well. All glass present and interior of cab all pretty good

Wheels are all straight and rot free, tyres are in very good order with lots of tread and minimal wear which is one big bill you will avoid!

Lovely survivor, mechanically good, and looking good, ready for use or restoration
