1990’s Ford 4630

The 60hp 3 cylinder Starts instantly without issue, hot or cold and runs nicely, instantly. It runs extremely cleanly, with virtually no visible smoke. No breathing anywhere, seems in really good shape.

Tractor is fitted with the higher specification Synchro shuttle box. All gear sticks are mounted on the right hand side, so clear floor and no clambering around gearsticks. 4 synchromesh gears and a high low box with a mechanical shuttle giving 8 forward and 8 reverse gears, so automatically go backwards at same speed as forwards.

Independent PTO with single lever engage/disengage

Simple mechanical linkage works without issue complete with pick up hitch ( the pick up hitch had seized, I have freed it up, but in truth could do with a little more attention. I have a drawbar for the tractor, but it isnt quite the right size, so needs adapting, or a correct one sourcing

Foot brakes are working, handbrake needs adjustment

Fitted with balloon front tyres, the rears are aged but have very good tread ( I do have a set of rear grass tyres available that fit it too, see my other listings)

Body work wise, the tractor is complete. There are a few battle scars and grazes as you would expect from a 30 odd year old working machine, but overall its a straight little tractor, panel work is good, front grill rusted, wings have a few cracks but nothing serious at all

Nice spacious cab with flat floor, does have a few scabby rust patches, but nothing detrimental. Rear window has a hinge issue and one front lower quarterlight is perspex poorly fitted but easily rectified with some screen glue.

There is no registration – An age related one can be sourced if you are wishing to use on the road.

Overall a handy little tractor with some “modern” features making it comfortable to use, very pleasant drive and useable machine.
