This little tractor starts without any heat by crossing the terminals (needs a bit of wiring work) runs spot on, smoothly, cleanly and responsive, It is running in all the pictures. there is no visible breathing or dipstick blow by. the steam in the video is some water hitting the exhaust, as i had just filled it up and spilt some in the cowling (needs the top hose replacing on rad). Incredibly, the hour clock still works! Showing just over 5000 h.

The dual clutch works without fault and all gears 6×2 select perfectly

Linkage works, and PTO works perfectly and benefits from being live drive.

Steering is light, but as per most Dexta’s there is a bit of play

Brakes are very responsive

Rear tyres are almost like new, with very little wear, fronts have had their best days but hold air and do job

Body work wise, the tractor is very complete The Nosecone is straight, with a couple of very small and recoverable areas of rust, bonnet needs a bit of straightening one side, one wing is a bit out of shape and they could do with a bit of reinforcement at the bottom. wheel rims are straight and in good order too. I have cleaned and applied a bit of oil to the tinwork to protect.

Overall an appealing little Dexta, arguably the most desirable of all of them. Importantly in good mechanical order with excellent rear tyres, so suit someone who doesn’t want a big mechanical project. with a new top hose (sub £10) and a bit of starter wiring she would be good for action.

There is no registration – there is one on the front but it is not live anymore, easy to apply for a new number if desired.
