Rare opportunity to own an 1140 compact version. a narrowed and lower version of the standard tractor. Dimensionally very similar to a MF 135.

Powered by a Deere 3 cylinder producing 55hp. The tractor starts instantly every time and runs very cleanly, without smoke or breathing.

The clutch is good, and all gears select nicely. It has 8 forwards 4 reverse. 

These tractors benefit from an independent PTO clutch, which allows you to engage/disengage the PTO any time just by the movement of one single lever – no clutch.

Foot brakes are strong and balanced, handbrake is functioning too.

Rear linkage and hydraulic service working as they should.

Very nice powered steering is super light and smooth in usual JD fashion.

Bodywork wise, the tractor is good, it has had a bit of a freshen up at some point, new rear wings fitted, the bonnet had a few dents and marks, but the tractor is rust free and looks bright. wheels are in good condition, one front has been replaced. 

All tyres are good, they all hold air and have good tread remaining.

I will apply for a new V5 for the new keeper.
