1979 John Deere 3130 complete with V5

Powered by the ubiquitous JD 6 cylinder, this engine runs true to form and is lovely and smooth and sounds great. Runs cleanly and without breathing. 90 odd hp when new.

The gearbox is a three speed with High, low and reverse ranges and has the added bonus of a hi/lo clutchless splitter (12 fwd x 6 rev). All gears select perfectly.

Clutch, brakes and Hand brake all functioning perfectly

Lovely light power steering

Independent PTO engages via a single lever hydraulically, no clutch to worry about.

Linkage all functioning, and is smooth, no judder.

Tyres are old and aged but with decent tread and doing the job still. Nice rear cast wheels one front wheel is a bit corroded, but again not detrimental to its use

The tractor is largely original with a bit of paintwork in places, namely cab roof and a bit on the wings. The cab is in good order with all its glass and no significant rust. there is a bit of rust in the usual places where the wing tops meet the cab, but not terrible. Bonnet and nose cone in good order. There is a dent on top by the exhaust, but I should think it would pop back out.

Cab interior benefits from recent seat, the side panel trim is degraded as usual.

A nice useable classic with plenty of power, great working day machine.

V5 present.
