Quite a rare little tractor, here we have a lovely example of the 148. Similar to the 135, but offering a little more horsepower, from the same basic Perkins AD3, longer wheel base and larger wheels. The tractor only sold for 4 years, and as such is quite scarce today.

This lovely patina tractor has loads of character. There is I think no repainting whatsoever on the tractor. The tin work is all very good indeed, with very few crusty bits to be found, certainly nothing significant.

The hour clock works and is showing 5300 hours, which feels like it could be true. It starts instantly, the engine runs superbly cleanly. I should point out there is a hairline crack, above the fuel pump, barely visible, I would in fact say, I wouldn’t have seen it if the previous owner hadn’t told me. It doesn’t leak. Engine pulls well on the road and drives nicely.

All three gears plus reverse and high and low ranges function fine. Fitted with foot throttle, and the additional bonus of multipower splitter.

Linkage works, as does the PTO, there is live drive, so ideal for topping applications etc. come with pick up hitch, hook and drawbar

Brakes are good and responsive

wheels are are all good and rot free and like the rest of the tractor bodywork, very straight.

The cab is needing one pain of glass on the offside door, and the light and indicator switches are seized

In summary a very complete and original tractor, ready, for work, play. Very rare to find so untouched.
