MASSEY FERGUSON 65

SOLD
Not an overly common tractor, this Massey 65 has been restored probably 20-30 years ago and stored inside always. It has been on the same Suffolk farm all its life, changing hands once into retirement, where it continued to live on a shed on the same farm!
The engine is a very good, quick starter the engine runs nicely and smoothly almost instantly. there is no visible breathing or dipstick blow, and oil pressure is good – a sound unit.
All three gears plus reverse and high and low ranges function fine. the clutch is smooth and responsive.
Linkage works, as does the PTO, there is live drive, so ideal for topping applications etc
Steering is all good, but it isn’t power assisted.
Brakes are very strong
Tyres are old and have seen some action, but all good and holding air.
Bodywork wise, its an older restoration and as such it is not mint, The bonnet and nose cone is exceptionally straight without rust and very good shiny paint, there is a small area on the top which requires touch up, but otherwise excellent. the rear wings I would estimate are original, and there are small areas of rust, but it would appear that these have not deteriorated at all since the restoration, and in truth are barely noticeable, but should be mentioned. Good footplates, and sound, straight wheels. Skid unit has a bit of ageing in places.
Overall a very straight and original old tractor, ready for work or play.
