One of the very last Teleram 3’s on K registration – please read all details, it does require a degree of recommissioning, but actually beyond the pink spots, it is actually quite a straight machine. Served as our yard machine, but have a few projects coming up, and I really have enough to do without sorting this too, I did dream of really doing it up a bit at some stage as I have a bit of a weird thing for them, but reality is shortage of time. They really are a spot on and a beefy machine, and very user friendly to operate with excellent visibility.

The Ford 7610 derived engine starts without issue, it does smoke a bit on start up, especially on a cold day, but does clear reasonably well, running in all pics, please see video. Engine runs well and seems to have plenty of poke. Engine is very clean and unusually leak free, I haven’t even washed for photos. First point of attention – battery weak, 2nd point – I fitted a new Starter motor to the machine, and for some reason if you do it up completely on bolts, it wont work! So needs spacers or swapping out for another. starter I nicked off it for another machine worked perfectly!

Gearbox is the later JCB ITL with 4 gears (declutch button for on the move shifts) and a shuttle reverser. It works perfectly, and is really nice to use.

Steering is light and smooth.

Brakes – don’t work, the cylinders will need sorting as the fluid was going down, I let it go too far and now they don’t do anything.

Boom and headstock actually all pretty good, fairly tight, not much play. the hyd locking pipes need some new connectors fitting to use,

Main pivot is not in bad shape at all and is all fairly tight

Rear tyres are good, fronts are down on tread

Bodywork is remarkably straight and complete, there is one patch of rust below the door frame, red oxide spots make it look worse! (not guilty!)
