Something very different with bags of character.

I believe this to be a Renault D22 tractor, albeit it has a nose cone from a slightly later model.

These tractors are really pleasantly unusual. Fitted with the German air cooled twin cylinder MWM engine, giving it a very distinctive sound. Tractor has brand new battery and starts via shorting across the starter (wiring requires a bit of attention) in cold conditions it takes a bit of cranking over, but always goes! Would love a good service. There is a small amount of breathing but nothing to worry about, the exhaust itself is really clean (running in all the pics)

Clutch is good and gearbox features 6 forward/ 1 reverse gears, all select easily.

Brakes are very effective and hand brake works too

Linkage works and there is a hydraulic service to rear with switch over tap

Steering is really nice and light and precise.

The body work has a nice patina, the wings have some stress cracks on the top but no serious rust, nose cone is a little scruffy but overall looks straight enough.

One new front tyre, all others are of varying age, but are doing the job.

Lovely little project, little bit different to a grey Fergie, and a lot more comfortable!
